The Venedocia Lions Club participates in the Lions International Recycle for Sight Program. Our club began collecting used eyeglasses in 1974. Used cases are also accepted.
A collection box is located in front of the Lions Building. Eyeglasses can also be given to any Lions member. Van Wert Vision, Ltd and Community Health Professionals on Westwood Drive in Van Wert are also collection points.
The eyeglasses are delivered to VOSH (Voluntary Optometric Services to Humanity). VOSH is an international organization that provides vision care to people in international communities who can not afford and can not obtain vision care otherwise. VOSH collects, cleans, sorts, classifies the eyeglasses collected by our club and many other sources. VOSH then embarks on mission trips to these locations where they hold vision care clinics and distribute the eyeglasses they collect.

These decorations were custom-made by a group of the retired Venedocia Lions Club members and are hung up and taken down by the club.
